March 7th, 2013

Well, it seems to me that we killed a fair amount of trees today in history. Yesterday we got a worksheet and watched a video on Emmett Till and his horrific murder. During the movie we filled out the worksheet with questions like how his murder sparked the Civil Rights movement. Today we continued on with the Civil Rights movement and did a worksheet on the Montgomery Bus Boycott. We got 6 other papers, which helped us fill out the sheet and learn how the boycott was successful. Which it was through many various things, mostly of how the boycott really financially disabled the bus company since most of their riders were African-American and that they wouldn't give up on the boycott, not caring how many times they got arrested. So, that was history!
