Well, history was an interesting start to the new week. We started out by reading this blurb about segregation of schools and then had a mini discussion about segregation in schools. As a class we said there really wasn't, but then Mr. Boyle had to prove us wrong with this paper about a school whose white kids had hung nooses in trees and then a group of black kids beating up a white kid and how different their punishments were. That then sparked a huge discussion, although it felt like more of a debate, about if Triton was segregated. It went on for basically all of the rest of the class and a few minutes before we left Mr. Boyle handed us a few other papers on segregation of schools. And that was history!
