October 15th, 2012

On Friday, like a pretty ususal history class we were handed papers as soon as we walked through the door. This time, it was on one of three documents, Common Sense, The Olive Branch Petition, and Plain Truth. We got together with our groups and read the doucument, decided what it was saying and what the position of the person who wrote it was, Loyalist or not. My group had the Olive Branch Petition, which was written by Loylalists that were saying with all the problems between the colonies and Britain. They wanted to stay aligned with Britian but if Britain attempt to fix the relations, then they would go to war. After doing this, we were divied up in out groups and sat with people with the other two documents. Each of us took a turn explaining our document. Today, we presented our Revolutionary Replicas that were do today. It was a pretty simple class but it was intersting to hear about all the different people who were involoved with the Revolution and how they were a part of it.
